It was particularly involved in a 1980-82 study on precast, prestressed concrete connections, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, that led to a state-of-the-art report, “Connections for Precast Prestressed Concrete Buildings including earthquake resistance,” published by PCI in 1982.

Since 1973, the PCI Committee on Connection Details has continued its activity in monitoring and evaluating research, code revisions, and improvements in the state-of-theart in connection design. A supplement to the First Edition was published in the PCI JOURNAL, May-June 1975.
